Imo State Civil Guard Corps is the brain child and establishment of His Excellency Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha (OON) in 2013.
However, it is an off-shoot of the already existing Imo State Orientation Corps under the auspices of the Imo State Orientation Agency.
This transformed Imo State Civil Guard Corps to a paramilitary department of the state government with the sole intention of executing government policies and laws.
